Relevant glyphs in Hellfire Citadel

Glyph of Healing Stream Totem: This will add a 10% damage reduction to Fire, Frost and Nature damage. This applies on every heal caused by Healing Stream Totem, this is a mandatory glyph as almost all bosses will use Fire, Frost or Nature damage.

 

Glyph of Healing Wave: A neat little glyph, adding some passive self-heal on every Healing Wave you cast. Recommended for pretty much all bosses due to having additional healing ticking in on yourself.

 

Glyph of Spiritwalker’s Focus: This glyph will half the duration and cooldown of Spiritwalker’s Grace, and will allow for greater min-max usage of the spell. This is recommended to use on all bosses since you will rarely have to move for more than 7 seconds anyway. Being able to use it more often in crucial moments, is nothing short of amazing.

 

Glyph of Spiritwalker’s Grace: This can be used on some of the shorter bosses where there are only a few opportunities to pop this spell and benefit from a 20 second duration – which rarely ever happens.

 

Glyph of Cleansing Waters or Glyph of Purify Spirit: Can be used on fights with a lot of dispelling, but it is more a personal preference than anything else. And it should be in the back of your head that Glyph of Purify Spirit is only useful on bosses where dispelling in rapid succesion is required, it will math out in a longer cooldown if you have to frequently dispell.

 

Glyph of Riptide: Has seen its uses and can still be picked up on some fights. However, because of how our current 4 piece set bonus works, it loses some value. Chain Heal already spreads Riptide, and the initial heal is reduced when glyphed.

 

Glyph of ChainingThis will increase the range of the bounces from your Chain Heal casts. This can be very useful for fights where you are so far spread that Chain Heal is struggling to benefit from High Tide (talent). This is going to be a very situational glyph that will only help you in rare occasions.

Has anyone actually found a fight worth glyphing chaining for this tier? I used it for Iron Reaver at first, but it didn’t seem worth it to me, so I dropped it. Not really any other fight where I could see it being an hps increase atm.

No the glyph of chaining is not worth using currently.   Also, why would you recommend the glyph of healing wave really?  I never even cast healing wave.

Thing is, what other valuable glyph do you see? Dispelling happening on only a few bosses, so those are very boss dependant and it’s barely worth using even when dispels actually occurs. Glyph of Riptide is just completely useless, since it will decrease the healing you do with 4p procs of riptide, and you will have so many out anyway that there is no point in being able to spam it. Flame Shock maybe, I mean it will be able to a little if you are trying to keep a 100% uptime of it, but compared to HW there won’t be a big difference (Have tried it). Chaining, I think we settled on not using that. Water shield, it’s going to be a regen loss, no chance it will be activated often enough to even out that value.

But if you have any interesting suggestions I am all ears :p

I don’t think it will ever be a hps increase to use the glyph in current tier, it will more likely be a remedy to hit the players in most need of it. At least that is my perspective of the glyph and why it has some value for me, even tho I haven’t used it on any fights during progress.
It also devalues because we have the regen to spam chain heal, unlike the beginning of the expansion. In Highmaul glyph of Chain Heal had amazing value for me, because it allowed to use it somehow often but not overly spam it and oom yourself. Opened up for some spell weaving.

Yeah I could definitely see it being more valueable in a raid scenario like back in HM. All in all, I like the glyph though, it just has limited time to shine.
